MPIL Agnitundi Vati is an Ayurvedic medicine produced by the Indian Medicines Pharmaceutical Corporation Ltd. (IMPCL). It is a classical herbo-mineral formulation primarily used to treat indigestion, gas, and loss of appetite. Key Uses and Benefits Agnitundi Vati is widely used in Ayurvedic practice for various digestive ailments: Stimulates Digestion: The name "Agnitundi" refers to stimulating the digestive fire (Agni), helping in the efficient breakdown of food. Relieves Abdominal Discomfort: It helps reduce gas formation, bloating, abdominal pain, and cramping often associated with Vata (air element) imbalance. Improves Appetite: It is beneficial for individuals with a poor appetite or an inability to eat due to sluggish digestion. Supports Bowel Health: The ingredients aid in regulating bowel movements and easing mild constipation.

Ingredients The formulation combines various herbs, spices, and purified minerals: Herbal components: Ajamoda (Ajwain), Haritaki, Amalaki, Bibhitaki (Triphala), Chitrak, Jeeraka (Cumin), Vidanga, and Pippali. Mineral components: Shuddha Parad (Purified Mercury), Shuddha Gandhaka (Purified Sulphur), Shuddha Vatsanabha (Purified Aconitum ferox), and various salts like black salt and Saindhava Lavana. Note: Due to the presence of processed heavy metals (like mercury and sulphur) and potent ingredients like Kuchala (strychnine content from Aconitum ferox), this medicine should be taken strictly under the supervision of a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner. It should not be self-administered, particularly by individuals with conditions like hyperacidity, ulcers, or high blood pressure.
