Hamdard Kohlul Jawahar is a traditional Unani medicine in powder form, primarily used to protect the eyes from various diseases, strengthen vision, and manage eye disorders such as asthenopia. The formulation includes a complex blend of natural ingredients: Cinnamomum camphora (Kafoor) Indian Salt (Namak Hindi) Myrtus caryophyllus (Qaranfal) Black Antimony (Surma Isfahani) and Red Antimony (Surma Surkh) Saffron (Crocus sativus) Coral (Corallium rubrum) and Turquoise (Firoza) Various other salts, herbs, and minerals like Black Pepper (Piper nigrum) and Aloe vera (Sibr Sakutri). Usage & Precautions Dosage: It is recommended to be applied as a collyrium (surma) in the morning and at bedtime, using a glass or lead bougie (Salai). It is an over-the-counter product, but consulting a registered medical practitioner is recommended.
